Here are a few things that went through my head, but didn’t make it past my lips when I was on the bus home from school today.
-To the jerk who pulled out in front of us at the Brock tower
“Thanks buddy. Because of you the bus driver had to slam on the brakes nearly sending a few riders onto the floor and nearly separating my shoulder from its socket.”
-To the kid who road the bus for 30 seconds just so he didn’t have to walk to his car
“You are a prime example of how lazy people can be. I’m glad it is socially unacceptable to mock people you don’t know in public because you just missed a verbal beatdown.”
-To the girl sitting beside me
“If you are honestly that worked up about the fact that a movie was rated 14A instead of 18+ you need to find yourself a (new) hobby.”
-To the person in the blue Special Blend jacket
“I like your jacket.”
So this is what happens when I blog at 4:30 in the morning. Oh well, hope you at least got a chuckle out of it. jp.

I honestly think a book could be written about all the thoughts I’ve had while on the bus. It might be a 4:30 a.m. post, but it spoke volumes to me.

YES. As a fellow bus-rider, I have the exact same thought process when I am on the bus.
I cannot stand those people who are on the bus for 30 seconds and then get off at the parking lot and make us all shuffle around to let them off, to go to their car. Must be nice that you have a car and must be nicer that you take your bus pass to get to your car.
Also, when people bring their backpacks on the bus and are standing beside you, while you are sitting and they have no idea that their bag is right in your face. This has to be one of my number one pet peeves on the bus. So, you try to move over a little beside the person you don’t even know, but the bag comes closer, and I get angrier. Finally, I give the bag a little nudge to let that inconsiderate person know that their bag is in my face. If they are even paying attention they will move over, but somehow that bag keeps creeping back towards my face. Sometimes, I just want to stand up and take their bag off for them, then sit down. Who knows, I just might get to that point.
I have a little bit of built up anger towards people on the bus. Thank you megan and sarah who drive me to school. I am eternally grateful.

Nice sir, Nice. You should write a follow-up blog about what happens when you say your thoughts on the bus out loud.

I think that when those thoughts start eating away at you it is time to get a car. Then you are able to verbalize all of these thoughts you may have of other people on the road within the comfort of your old beat up car like I do. It is therapeutic to lay on the horn, mutter profanities and flip the odd bird. Hopefully your time will come soon Jason.

There are some interesting creatures that ride the bus. My best story involves a grown man that wore a cowboy hat and would sit at the front of the bus and welcome each person as they got on the bus with a “howdy partner”. I used to ride the bus when I was in teacher’s college in Thunder Bay. He was there every day.
As I was reading your post I was thinking exactly what shannon wrote. Time to get your own wheels.

Very interesting thoughts.
To the boy sitting across from me Thursday night
“If you throw one more hot pepper at me, I’ll dump this salsa on your head”

I deff had a chuckle at this one. I don’t take the bus often, but when I do, it certainly is an interesting time.

Now that was a great blog. I think I want to write a blog like that.
To the lady at the Tim Horton’s at Niagara College.
“You’re supposed to stay open until 4, not 3:40 you lazy……..”

lol I love that everyone says what I’m always thinking. except sometimes I say it out loud and get in trouble. I think venting should be a part of everyone’s daily activities simply because it feels so good.

I used to ride the bus and would have similar thoughts to yours. Then I got an iPod. It made the bus ride so much more enjoyable because I didn’t have to deal with the stupidity of some people.
